VAG CAN PRO V5.51 is an inexpensive flasher for VAG group UDS controllers, diagnosis MQB platform, Unlock video in motion (VIM) on the MQB platform…etc.
You will not only do full OBDII diagnostic but also coding and Eeprom flashing .For exxample you can activate the VIM in the new VW Golf 7 or the Audi A3 8V.

Which one buy compare VAG CAN PRO(VCP)with HEX V2 VCDS ?

For standard coding changes and diagnostics I’d choose VCDS as it’s well understood and most guides are written with it in mind.
If you want to flash firmware files, activate VIM (paid upgrade) and access the eeprom of various modules directly then I’d use VCP interface.

It has many functions that VAG VCDS cannot perform like start/stop disable, flashing of control modules and EEPROM edits
but you really have to know what your doing with this if you want to get into the advanced functions
My advice is if you only want error code reading and basic tweaks carista is dirt cheap and can do this
If you want to do more advanced tweaks/modify coding and look at live data etc without to much hassle then VAGCOM is good.

VAG CAN PRO will allow you to flash ECUs in the car, but it is a very, very dangerous tool if you don’t know what you are doing and can easily disable your car with disastrous consequences.
Definitely agree that VCDS is much more user friendly and would be the one I’d choose as a main interface.
