Check Engine Codes Light Tool with obd2 scanner

The check engine codes are the codes pulled from an obd2 diagnostic scanner that determines the source of the problems in the vehicle. We would strongly recommend you get one Autel Maxidiag MD806 Pro for check engine codes on full System .

If your Check Engine Light is on and there are trouble codes in your computer, your vehicle will NOT pass an OBD II emissions test. The light must be OFF and there must be no codes in memory to pass an OBD II emissions test. In addition, all of the OBD II self-monitors that check for faults must have run and completed without finding any further problems to pass the test.

We list common check engine light codes for you on this page at the bottom. This isn’t a complete or exhaustive list of every code that could set in your computer’s memory.

  • Powertrain (“P”) codes (engine, transmission and emissions systems)
  • Body (“B”) codes (Climate control system, lighting, airbags, etc.)
  • Chassis (“C”) codes (antilock brake system, electronic suspension and steering systems)
  • Network Communications (“U”) codes (controller area network wiring bus and modules)
