I bought a BMW ICOM NEXT A+B+C 2 years ago ,it always working great .Since on my ISTA Windows automatic update ,then it won’t start ,says there no enough disk space .
so i got a newer version ISTA+ v4.46 software SSD with 1TB space ,that should never happen this kind problem .
Now come problem 1 :
When i connect ISTA to my 2009 BMW 535i xdrive e61 n54 ,it always show ICOM mux is gray .so i contact my after-seller service
Them fastly get the point and fix it for me by Team-viwer . That point is my ICOM Next need upgrade firmware to latest version ,
then will compatible with ISTA+ 4.46. After firmware updated ,all connection well ,it will read my car and access all systems .
And one important thing : You must close ISTA-D programmer first ,then unplug/Plug the OBDII cable if want do another new session . That because the Port have been taken and You should manual release it . if not it will turn gray on ICOM MUX icon
But another question here when i want to Reprogramming a used transfer case with ISTA-P.
Problem 2 :
ISTA P error :The Connection with vehicle is disrupted!The session must be ended
The suggestion would be : Disable Firewall and Windows defender ,may them block the communication.
and he also told me newer version ISTA-P after 2020 year wont do more programming job ,almost functions have been exchange to ISTA+. BMW ISTA-P3.64 would be last good for programming option.
and some parts can be done by BMW Engineer software.lol ,i should learn more and more on these skill .
