1. This Creader Elite FGC is a Great tool with full coverage of gm, Chrysler and Ford. Looks as though, for the manufacturers that it supports, it has a lot of the functions that the more expensive scan tools has. Does full system scans (not just engine codes), has bidirectional controls, and some other great features that aids in diagnosing automotive faults.
2. I used the GM software to program the new FOBs. It was able to program the FOBs. It just doesn’t work like the instructions say. I am quite impressed with this cheap full function scan tool. I used it track misfires for each cylinder with my recent spark plug issue. BTW – this is not a commercial, It is a pretty complete Bidirectional tool.
3. My issue was the my Explorer lost key codes after battery wend dead. This Creader FCG allowed me to reprogram the key chips. It was quite easy. The tool also provides a lot of other information on the vehicle. I love this tool.
4. that impressed me is the bi-directional control. I used this LAUNCH Creader Elite 2.0 FGC on my 2023 Chevy Duramax. I was able to perform a forced DPF regeneration, see injector balance rates, TPMS relearn, as well as perform many other actuation tests. I was also able to confirm a bad headlight bulb in my 2021 Jeep Wrangler and rule out a faulty, relay or wiring. This tool does have FCA AutoAuth capability. I tried using it with a 12+8 bypass cable and I figured out, with the help of support, that all the tests are available under normal mode, even though the tool warns that it’s not available.
